Our Aligoté, a white Burgundian variety (variety = grape; varietal = wine from a single variety of grape) that is a couple of centuries older than Chardonnay, is grown on Temperance Hill Vineyard. According to a recent review by Michael Alberty, this wine features flavors such as lemon gelato, thyme and toasted almonds. Well yum!
Dai Crisp grows all of the grapes used in our wines in USDA/Oregon Certified Organic vineyards. He has been farming vineyards this way for 25 years. This philosophy of using a natural approach with minimal intervention also predominantly influences our winemaker, Julia Cattrall.
