91 points and a Hidden Gem in the Wine Enthusiast
Aligoté is a rare bird in Oregon, but I’m happy to have caught this one. Golden Delicious apples unite with lemon poppyseed cake aromas in pleasing fashion. With its gentle acidity and fleshy texture, this Aligoté isn’t as brisk as I was anticipating. Its lemon, bergamot, sage and butter flavors, however, are delicious.

This Aligoté, some of the only planted in the Willamette Valley, is grown by Dai Crisp at Temperance Hill Vineyard. All of the grapes used in our wines come from USDA/Oregon Certified Organic vineyards. Dai grows most of these himself and has been farming vineyards organically for 34 years. This philosophy of using a natural approach with minimal intervention also predominantly influences our winemaker, Boone McCoy-Crisp.
